Cost, timing, and how a build actually runs. These are the ones that come up on the first visit, in roughly this order.
How much does a landscaped garden cost in Cardiff?
Most full garden projects we build in Cardiff and the Vale run between £12,000 and £45,000, depending on size, levels and materials. A new patio and planting for a typical terrace garden usually lands around £6,000–£10,000. You get a fixed written quote after a free on-site visit, not a ballpark over the phone.
Do I need a design before you start building?
For anything beyond a straightforward patio, yes. A drawn plan settles levels, drainage and planting on paper, which costs a great deal less than changing your mind once the digger has arrived. The design fee comes off the build if you go ahead with us.
When is the best time of year to landscape a garden?
Hard landscaping (paving, walls, structures) can be built all year round in South Wales. We work with the weather rather than around it. Planting is best in autumn and early spring while the soil is warm and moist, though we plant through summer too with a watering plan agreed up front.
How long does a garden project take?
A courtyard or small rear garden is typically two to three weeks on site. A larger family garden with structures and planting runs four to eight weeks. The quote comes with a week-by-week programme, so you always know what is happening next and who is turning up.
What happens if a plant dies?
We replace it. Everything we plant carries a five-year guarantee, provided the watering and care plan we hand over at the end of the build has been followed. In practice most losses happen in the first summer, and they are usually ours to put right.
Do you offer garden maintenance after the build?
Yes, on gardens we designed and built ourselves. Seasonal visits cover pruning at the right point in the year, feeding, mulching and border editing. Keeping the same people who planted it is the reason nothing gets cut back at the wrong time.

Pontcanna, Penarth, Llandaff, Cyncoed, Roath, Whitchurch, Radyr, Dinas Powys and Cowbridge, plus the wider Vale of Glamorgan. If you are a little further out, ask anyway. We travel for the right project.
